Gonzalo’s General Story
Gonzalo Fernández de Córdoba, the “Great Captain” of Spain, stands as the herald of the gunpowder age and a pioneer of Europe’s military revolution.
He first shone in 1492 during the War of Granada, where his siege engines sealed the Reconquista’s triumphant finale. Recognizing the power of new weapons, he resolved to lift Spain from the margins to the forefront of European warfare.
In the Second Italian War, he faced the French heavy cavalry’s steel tide. Rather than clash head-on, he blended arquebusiers, pikemen, and light horse into the prototype Spanish tercio, shattering the French and the myth of invincible knights. It was history’s first major victory won chiefly with firearms.
Before gunpowder ruled the battlefield, Gonzalo fused it with bold strategy and noble honor, laying the cornerstone of the empire Spain would soon become.

How to Obtain General Gonzalo

Summon General Gonzalo
You can use the Epic Historic General Glory to summon generals at the Historic General Summoning Event. The Glory can be acquired from the highest tier of the event package.
During the 2025 Running of the Bulls events, Gonzalo is guaranteed to be summoned within the next time after being summoned 5 times.

Using these tokens, you can randomly get a general in their reward pool.
Epic General
The main way to obtain it is through the General Token Chest, but after opening the chest, you can only randomly obtain one from Legendary or Epic General, so this token is not easy to obtain.
In addition, the probability of obtaining Gonzalo using this token is not as high as the other two tokens. We do not recommend this path.
Epic Historic General
There are a few ways to obtain this token, mainly the following two ways.

In comparison, Gonzalo, as a main general, is not as good as Artemisia I in terms of attack, defense, HP, and march size improvement in terms of pure offensive buffs.
However, most of his buffs are unrestricted and can be effective not only in attack, but also in multiple aspects such as reinforcement, rally, and defense.
The scope of application of this general is similar to that of James Cook, but as a main general, Gonzalo’s attributes are stronger than Cook’s in the max-level special skill and specialty state.
Moreover, when he is an assistant general, although his improvement on ranged troops’ defense is weaker, his improvement on ranged troops’ attack and HP is the strongest so far.
Therefore, we believe that Gonzalo is suitable as an assistant general of the 1st-tier and 2nd-tier ranged troops, or a main general of the 3rd-tier and reinforcement ranged troops.
